Restock Radar — low-stock alerts and sell-out forecasting for Shopify

Getting started

1. Install Restock Radar from the Shopify App Store. It only asks for read access to products and inventory.
2. Open the app and click Sync inventory now. Your product variants appear in the watchlist.
3. Set your default low-stock threshold and supplier lead time on the right-hand panel, then save.
4. Optionally paste a Slack webhook URL to receive alerts in Slack instead of email.

Frequently asked questions

When exactly does an alert fire?

An alert fires the moment a variant crosses from above your threshold to at or below it. It fires once per crossing, not repeatedly, so a slow seller sitting at 2 units will not spam you every hour.

How is "Days left" calculated?

We look at how the available quantity has decreased over the last 30 days, derive an average daily sales velocity, and divide the current quantity by that velocity. If there is not enough history yet, the column stays blank rather than showing a guess.

What is "Reorder by"?

It is the predicted sell-out date minus your supplier lead time — the last day you can place an order and still receive stock before you run out.

Can I set a different threshold per product?

Yes. Type a number directly in the Threshold column for any variant. It overrides the store-wide default for that variant only.

How do I stop alerts for one product?

Click Mute on that row. Muted variants stay in the watchlist but never trigger alerts. Click again to unmute.

Why is a product missing from the watchlist?

Products with inventory tracking turned off in Shopify have no quantity to watch, so they are skipped. Also, if you are on the Free plan, the watchlist is limited to 50 variants — upgrade to include the rest.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Everything belonging to your shop is deleted automatically. See our Privacy Policy for details.
